clown spawning behavior

After clowns have spawned does the female keep visiting the site? They're staying around a large barnacle shell & she's spending time inside, and they chase other fish away. Does that sound like pre or after spawning behavior? They've been looking for a site for a while now.

don't have a after video. but the male normally takes care of the eggs while the female puts everyone on NOTICE. last time every one of my fish had a bite mark on their side. and my hand was public enemy #1

Great - so what did you do? move eggs to another tank? What did you feed the fry?

the first batch i collected was out of my display tank. it was fun to try and catch white fleas in a 150g tank. with the flash light and scoop method. the second and third batch i pulled the tile the day they were going to hatch and the day before and put them in a 10g and bubbled em.

so what will you do with all these babies - sell them?

yep sold them to my lfs. reg ocellaris clowns are not really worth raising for money unless you have few breeding pair and room for all the diff batches. but i enjoyed the experience.

THEY'VE SPAWNED! Now how long do eggs incubate?

depends on the tank temp, but normally 7 to 9 days. if you keep the tank at 82-84 the eggs will hatch sooner and the larvae won't hatch hungry. but i would let the first batch slide.
