clown suggestions

Hello,
My clown fish pair recently died, they where 9 and 8 years old. I am looking to replace them. I have been reading lots about lots of clowns but cant decide on a species. All I know is I want to avoid maroon clowns. It would be great if it hosted in my carpet and soon to have bta but not a requirment.

Any suggestions are great, thanks.

Sorry for your loss. Since you want to avoid maroons, I'm guessing you want a more peaceful species of clownfish. How about a pair of black and whites, or misbars, or picasso's?

any percula variant, I've also been a fan of pink skunks

I've had tomatos, clarkiis and gold stripes...I'm staying away from aggro clowns for good

Fairly. My pair will go after any fish in my tank. The male will even go after my purple tang, and even being cut by the tail spike hasn't stopped his behavior.

they aren't labeled as aggressive, but I had one that would bite the hell outta my hand and other clarkii's I have seen in tanks have been straight mean, specially when they get bigger and have an anemone.

I had a clarkii years back. Every time I stuck my hand in the tank I would get bitten. I got sick of that and sold it back to the LFS. My misbar percula is very docile.
