Clown Tang needs Help

I friend of mine who has little experience with salt water fish went to our local LFS and somehow got talked into purchasing quite a nice size clown tang for his 55 gallon FOWLR. After the fish almost tried to kill everything inside of his tank, he called me in a panic and I went over, transplanted him into one of my holding tanks which is over a 100 gallons.

I went on a trip and arrived home tonight to find him with his left eye cloudy, I can only assume popeye, where his normal coloring was clear and bright, now it is spotty and he is not eating.

When I picked him up he was eating and now he won't touch lettuce, seaweed or brime. I have had a lot of experience with powder blue and yellow tangs, but not this type.

He is about 6 inches long and still pretty thick - I went to add vitamin C to the tank and noticed that I was completely out. I also usually keep Kyolic garlic near and my wife used the remaining for some food while I was gone.

Has anyone ever experienced this before? I can actually touch him - he actually laid in my hand but then swam around like he was completely normal.

I am really out of my element here - anyone have any ideas?

Thanks a lot!
