I am interested in purchasing this fish, but is it hard to keep?

Pretty hard, plus your tank will be a little too small they get big and mean. I never had one but my friend tried 4 for his 180 and all died within 2 weeks.

a small one might work for a while but they do get pretty agressive... i have one with a PBT and sailfin... PBT and Clown dont always see eye to eye...no physical damage just chasing around sometimes...

bubbaOPPD if your friend got 4 from the same source then he/she might want to look at getting fish elsewhere?

We have one in a 110 gal since 6 months. Maybe it is an exception, but we never had problems with him, he ate like a pig since the beginning, and he is surprisingly resistant to ich. I was concerned about its agressivity supposed to grow with its size, but until now his temper has not changed, and he is now almost 6 inches. He is very active, go crazy when fed, do some intimidation danses (it is quite a show!!), but never strikes. In fact our most aggressive is our scopas tang, and the only one that give real scalpel strokes is our big YT, but only if provoqued.
