Clownfish behavior

Question for you Occy clown owners...

Does the dominant clown constantly "charge" at the smaller, or I guess, mate? Whatever, you get the point.

Mine for example, one is obviously bigger than the other, and they've been in the tank for almost a year. You'd think by now they'd be mated, but they just don't seem to be getting along (as weird as that sounds). The bigger of the two almost constantly charges at the smaller one. They are both healthy and not injured. Both have good color and behavior other than that.

i have a percula pair and ocellaris pair (in different tanks). both female are not aggressive but the male ocellaris always attack my hand. the ocellaris pair is spawning regularly and the male probably thinks i might do something to their nest.

if they both are healthy and not injured nor stressed, i'd just let them be.

Sometimes when the female has matured and close to spawning or around that age she may get weird and territorial, and may just charge anything and everything, could be your issue.

Mine just like to bite me and I'm the one who feeds them. Let someone else stick their hand in the tank and they don't do anything. LOL

I have two DaVinci clowns, one is fairly larger than the other. The only sign of aggression they have shown me is nipping at my hand around feeding time. Most of the time they are attached at the fin.

BUT, the breeder I got them from said he had a pair that were amazing together for years, and out of nowhere the female ripped the male apart. He said it was scary watching her try to eat him to death.

So my opinion, women will be women... crazy
