Clownfish Broodstock Setup

I am not a wood expert, but are the screws holding all the weight? Are the 2x4's slotted to accept the shelves weight?
Maybe sister a board under eeach shelf vertically to hold the weight. It would stink to have it all hit the floor because the screw sheared.
Great thread, looking to build a similar setup, once the boss okays it.
Just lookin out for you.

Thanks for the heads up RACERW. The shelves have the additional support of framing type metal plates. I did not have access to a router so I honestly did not even think about doing that. Might have to though.

New pictures with lighting and livestock will be posted tonight. I've been busy all day buying and rinsing gravel. Was going to do bare bottom but it just looked to plain and my clownfish have always been spoiled. Even flirting w/ upgrading to T-5s or VHOs and having anemones in each cubicle. We will see though.

Well as promised some pics w/ lights and livestock. Sorry for the poor quality pics camera is crappy. ENJOY!!!!!!!!

These GSMs are in my anemone tank and plan on moving them over to either a 30 long or 40 breeder.

Extremely nice. I'm impressed. Do you have any that were laying eggs prior to upgrading?
You may have missed my question in the middle of all your updating, so here's a post-bump :)

Have you had any luck breeding orange skunks? You have a lot of beautiful pairs and I like the new setup. I will get started on mine a few months down the road when hubby goes on deployment :) lol. Keep in contact if you ever want to sell any. I would gladly purchase some.

Reefman13 the lights are off right now so, when they come on I will snap some more and post them. The system was suppose to have all 9 filled up and house my larger species (i.e. GSMs, Clarkiis and some Red Sea Clowns). My craftmanship is questionable and with the added weight/water with the top tanks I was concearned about the stabilty of the stand (tipping over). I will eventually anchor the stand to the wall which I should originally and will throw them in there.
