Clownfish / BTA Harem in a 40b?

This has been a dream of mine for a while, and I recently found a source of 10+ misbar perculas.

I was wondering if this would be possible?

I would probably go with 10x percula, and start off with 2-3 rbta/gbta right?

Ive been in the hobby for 3 years, successful reef ect, just making sure my 6x t5ho over a 18h tank would be good for btas?

I would rescape a whole half of the tank to be able to make an island for these nems haha.

I wonder if it would be smarter just to add say 5 or so? Anyone have any ideas?

I thought if you had more than two, the smallest one tended to get picked on until it was killed.

See this only working for the short term. In time a pair will form, start to spawn, and not be too happy about the other clowns and kill them off -- not pretty to watch.

What do you think is the lowest number of clowns that would make this possible?

She admits that her case is special and has suggested to others not to try it, especially in a small tank.

I would just stick with one pair.

Agreed! That is an amazing thread by a VERY experienced reefer. Unfortunately, it all too often leads to people who do not have the skills necessary wanting to attempt to mimic this. As Todd says, if you actually read the thread instead of just look at the pictures she does mention for others not to try this.

Yeah not a good idea. Stick with 2 of the best ones you can find and it will be better

Unfortunately I'd think a 40g will be too small. Maybe if it was completed covered in BTAs, but even then the Dominant pair probably won't feel they have enough "personal space."
