clownfish compatibility

hello,

i have a 70g tank and among others a clarkii clown and a bta. today i've seen a very nice pair of false perculas at my lfs. do you think they would be compatible with my other clown? everywhere i'm reading it says compatible with caution?!

thanks!

I'd either keep the clarkii, and maybe add a smaller one for a mate later; or trade in the clarkii and get the ocellaris ("false perculas"). A Clark's clownfish would beat the tar out of any other clownfish in the tank. If it helps you make the decision, Clark's do seem to adopt hosts much more readily than ocellaris.

I like your username, BTW. :D

the clark is already hosting the bta. i wouldn't trade it for anything. i just like clownfish so much... i would love to have more.

thaks!

the username is my high school nickname ... from the x-files character :).

No. Only one species of clown per tank. As mentioned, either get rid of the clarkii and get the occelaris pair or get your clarkii a mate. If you get another clarkii, make sure it's smaller than the one you have now.
