clownfish divorce?

My clowns have been together since day 1. I've had them for close to our over a year.
Just noticed last night when lights went off that my female clown was being alot more aggressive than usual. So I watched for a bit..and she is attacking him.

Not the normal bumping behavior.

His fins are tore a little bit. And he's breathing rapidly. She's acting really strange, swimming around their host really fast.

I woke up this morning and saw him on one side of the aquarium and her on the other where the host is.

So after netting her I have her in one of those specimen containers that hang inside of the tank that has holes drilled in it.

I'm also leaving the lights off today.and if possible leave her in there till I get home from work at 10.

Any other ideas what I can do. If need be I will get Rid of her and keep him...and only have the odd couple, my clown and my royal gramma...lol

Can we see a pic? I would try to keep them together unless she actually starts to really tear him up. What is their host?

I'm actually posting from my phone. I'm laying in bed right now. Sorry no pics at the moment.

I put her in one of those clear specimen containers with holes drilled in it for the day, and kept the lights off. Got home from work at 10 pm and let her out. She swam down to their host (a ceramic Easter island head with a hole in the back for them.) They locked lips a few times, then she started doing the shimmy at him..

Then I covered the tank back up to make it dark and peeked in on them and they were both in the host.they have had the same host since day one.

I hope so..I am pretty attached to both of them, even though she's evil and bites me. I will give it a fee days if it doesn't get better I will take her to the lfs for store credit. And just have the odd couple (clownfish and royal gramma)lol

Woke up this morning and they were still bickering..lights came on and I fed them and now they are swimming together like normal. Its official, these damn fish are crazy...lol

They are pairing to start mating/spawning and best left alone when that happens. The one that was laying on his side is the male. Now you have a mated pair and she may kick his class again just to show who's boss. I've see it with my own eyes.

Congrats and happy clowning.
