Clownfish FINALLY hosting RBTA

Well guys I've had my RBTA for probably 3-4 months and my clownfish never took any interest in it. it was frustrating. The other day when I got home I noticed the one clown getting pretty close to it. Then when i looked again, he was hosting it! They both seem to love it now. pretty exciting! Video below.

well...the anemone's host the clowns :)

Mine took about 3 weeks (the clowns) before they got in the anemone. Started to stick their nose in it shortly after the anemone was added. anemone didn't like it, closed up. last night, smallest clown was rolling in it. really cool.

man... lucky for you guys. my clown swims by it for the past 6 months, don't even look twice at it. i'm thinking about removing them and trying a different pair.

my clowns love Rod's Fish Eggs. Lately when feeding them to the tank I would squirt them into the nem. This would force the clowns towards the anemone to get the food. I'm assuming they rubbed up against it during this which is what caused them to host it. Give it a try!

Excellent idea!

Sometimes it will take a while for for the clowns to ease up to the anemone. Give them time and they should eventually like it.

So awesome! Mine just started to host as well! But I only see them in it at night when the lights are off.

That's so awesome! I've had my anemone for over a year now and my clowns still don't have an interest. I've tried pretty much everything. I've given up and just hoping that one day it'll happen

It took a pair of maroon pearl eye gold flake took about 4 days but I was lucky as the rock my rbta was attached to is
transferable. My flame hawkfish had them back corner of the tank which work out because they will eventually dominate that section of the tank.

Mine ignored the rbta since discovering the sinulara softy.
Just gave the rbta away, Always getting in trouble anyway. Lol

the reason I use the fish eggs is because the clowns CANNOT RESIST them. they go crazy to try and eat them all. they will do whatever it takes to get them lol.

Well I don't have any fish eggs so I'll have to use what I've got, and I do have a lot of different foods that they tear up, but the Cyclops is a treat :D

I'm waiting on UPS to deliver a fish from Live Aquaria, so after I've acclimated it I'm going to give this a try.

I had a clown not go near my nem for years till i bought a smaller one and added it as soon as it hit the water the lil guy went right for it with my old clown chasing behind they hardly leave it now and always lay egg patches in a small cave right next to it

I picked up a low a week ago.. It was playing in a nem at the store. I added the CF to the tank and it went right to the nem, jumped in and rolled around for 15 min... after that it said F it and has not been near the nem since..:mad2:

My 2 clowns are hosted by the hammer coral. I don't even think they know there are 5 BTA's in the tank!! Been 2 years now.
