I have a small ocellaris clown that I will give to someone in exchange for frags in the future. I have 2 ocellaris and they're beating each other up. I'm putting him in a QT tank until I can find a place for him.
Whoever wants to come get soonest him let me know.

are they the same size? did they grow up together in the tank? i bet one is just establishing dominance and will become the female of the pair.

Are you sure? THey've been in there for a few months together. They were fine until the last few days.

FYI, mine where similar size...one a tag bit smaller than the other. They kept on beating each other up for at least 3 month. Finally, it subsided.

Beating each other up even to the extent of bitting and holding the other's fin. No blood or flesh wounds though. HTH

i bet they are pairing up ... if no one is really getting hurt, let it run its course.

Mine did that and one (the smaller, male) died.

I had true percs, where the female beat up on the male for 3-4 months before it stopped, the male would do these weird shivers too almost seizure like during that time... but eventually they both ended up sharing a hammer coral and were regularily spawning after having them for about 8 months.

I'd give it some time... I agree no blood no harm
