Clownfish fry miraculously surviving in DT...

So I was laying on the couch watching the olympics and my wife yells across the room that she sees "tadpoles" under the anemone's rock... I assume they are mysis and tell her that the clownfish fry cannot survive in our tank, hence her least favorite new smell of phyto culture in our basement.

She insisted I look, and low and behold they are actually fry!! They have found a crevice with little to no flow under the protection of the host anemone and have somehow made it through almost 4 days since the last clutch hatched. The only thing I can think is that I feed phytofeast to keep up a good pod population for my mandarin and they are physically protected from predators by the anemone and rock work. Has anyone experienced survivors in a DT like this? Should I rescue them to my rearing tank or just see what happens?

depends on what's in your tank, but the chances are they will get picked off one by one as they venture out, if you have the set up to raise them might as well pull them if you want clown babies.

I agree that you likely will need to move them if you want reasonable odds for them to survive.

I'd leave it be. Just not worth the effort.
