Clownfish ID please

Hi all,

I am hoping someone can tell me what species of Amphiprion this fish is. It is at a LFS and is marked as a black variant percula. The fish doesn't appear to be a percula to me -- the body shape seems wrong, and the face seems wrong. It is also of pretty good size. I'm not certain if it was wild caught or not. The only thing that I came across that looked similar was a dark phase A. polymus, saddleback clown. But I am not familiar w/ a great deal of clowns (just the typical ocellaris, percula, and clarki; the skunks; and the maroons.) What do you guys think?

Hard to tell about the exact color, but I believe that it is a A. polymus, either a very dark brown one, or a black color morph.

ditto. I had one that looked just like that. eventually the last stripe disappears.

it a polynmus i have a piar in my red and blue haddonis! Awesome fish mine are not aggressive at all!

Thanks everyone.
She is pretty much a black/dark brown umber color -- I hesitate to call her a "satiny" black, but there are certainly no rich browns in that color. She is sort of new to the LFS. Her pectorals have some dark pigmentation towards the body, then a bit of that "typical" Clarki yellow-orange, and a clear margin. The only other place she has the yellow-orange is on the nose/mouth. Her white bars really stand out against her body color and are a cool toned white. She got a bit shy when I started hanging out at her tank, hence the photo w/ her bobbing behind the live rock.
Don't know where someone got the idea that she was a percula. Now the question is whether or not I say anything. Sometimes stores don't give you the time of day when you tell them a fish is incorrectly ID-ed!

I just bought 2 of those today,the guy told me they were A.akindynos which they are not,been trying to find ID all day,but now I have my answer,I put some pictures on recent posts thks

I have a saddleback clown. He is very small, no more than 1". Mine only has two stripes, but the second stripe is a "saddle" at the dorsal fin, not vertical stripe. Its only got one verticle stripe.

People seem to be convinced yours is a Saddleback and by no means am I an expert.

I can post a pic tomorrow of mine if it will help you on the ID.

It is sometime very obvious that the people in the shops at times were just last week selling cars.
