These are my first tank inhabitants. I bought them from The Reef Shopped in April. At the time I was told they were Bicentric Ocellaris. To date, nobody (else) seems to know what a Bicentric Ocellaris is. So...what are they? What I really want to know is what would be an appropriate host for my clowns?

Not 100% but I'd also say Clarki. Amphiprion bicinctus has two white bands. Those look like they have a third on the tail.

if img tags [in brackets] are placed around that photobucket link the pic will imbed directly in this thread

I agree with Randy :)

The question is easily answered by another picture or the fish's owner.

If truly Clarkii's ANY great (host) Clownfish anemone will "work".

Bubble tip anemone Entacmaea quadricolor would be your best (beginner anemone) choice

Ok, that being established...I also have a 6" Deresa Clam in my tank. Are there issues with having an anemone and a clam in the same 30gal tank?

Deb rocks!

You're fine with having clams and anemones together...as long as said 'nem doesn't come into contact with the clam.

Looks like Amphiprion Clarkii for sure. Was sometimes confused with true Amphiprion Sebae which is rarer.

Some are lighter with little or no black at all and some have a little black up to a lot of black on them.
According to my Barron's book of clownfish species, apparently these are color variations in Amphiprion Ckarkii. Which there can be quite a few degrees of.

However, in comparing to all others with photos available.. I'll admit they look like they could be close to a Amphiprion Chrysogaster as well.
(probably not) But some differences are so slight visual identification is sometimes flawed.
