Clownfish injury?

Hi all. First timer and new to saltwater. I've got an 8g FOWLR with 2 Ocellaris, an emerald, a pom-pom, blue leg hermit, and 4 snails. The tank has been running for about 9 weeks with ~9lbs live rock. Parameters are good (ammonia 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 5, PH 8.1). I added the two clowns 10 days ago and recently noticed a white/pink patch on the smaller one's head (see attached). I think the two are going through pairing, but the larger one is a bit aggressive towards the other. I'm thinking the patch is a battle wound, but I fear it could be brooklynella or some other disease. I was hoping some of the more experienced community members could take a look and give some insight. Thanks in advance for any feedback. Greatly appreciated.

Probably just a battle wound. Does it look like the skin is peeling/sloughing off? That would be a sign of brook.

Be careful, not all clowns pair up successfully. If she doesn't like him, she'll end up probably killing him.

No. Skin looks intact and the little guy is swimming, eating and acting fine. He's trying to submit. I'm hoping love is in the current, but we'll see. I've heard the process of pairing could go on for a while. Anything to do in helping to achieve success?

If the fighting gets too bad, take the male and put him in a small acclimation box where the female can see him but not get to him. This will give her time to get used to his presence without beating his ***. Give it a few days and let him back out. If the fighting continues, best to try another male (or vice versa).

+1
This will also give the poor guy a break from all the abuse.
