Clownfish napping in Clam?

I have a clownfish that hosts a tridacna clam in my aquarium. About a week or so ago I noticed it was laying on the mantle of the clam. Today I see it laying on its side, full sideways, on the mantle of the clam. Is my clownfish sick? or is this clownfish taking a nap in the clam?

Thanks in advance for your comments.

That's good to hear, I looked in my tank this morning and my clown was lying on the sand! I would like to know too what's up? With the clown laying still!

I have tried to get photos, but the clownfish has not stayed in place long enough for me to take a photo. I will keep trying.

jeff-

If the lights were still out, I bet your clownfish was just sleeping in the sand. I see mine do it every night.

Mattanderin-

My clownfish does not appear to be exhibiting any signs of disease or exhaustion. And I still have not been able to catch him napping in the clam again to take a picture.

It's not unheard of. I remember seeing a clown poking its head out of the vent of a huge clam, possibly a gigas.

Mine lays on the sand every night to sleep. Every morning I come down to leave for work and I'm afraid that he is dead. So from my experience it's normal.
