Clownfish picking her anemone

I have a new clownfish (yesterday) that keeps wiggling and dancing at one or the other of the two front corners of the tank. How long will it take her to find the anemone to host? ...hours? days? weeks?

Also what would be a 'can't resist' food for her? I know she may not be eating because she is new to the tank, but I would like to temp her.

Thanks for any info or advise! ;)

My clowns love mysis shrimp. I hear that they love brine shrimp but it has little nutritional value unless loaded with vitamins before they freeze it.

As for when will it find the anemone and host, it took my female about 18 months before she would host and the male took about another 6 months. From what I hear about hosting it all depends on the clown and when they get ready to host. I have false percs which seem to take a little longer to host than true percs but again it probably depends on the fish. HTH

WOW!! I am so glad I asked. I couldn't find anything about how long it took and I was thinking more like hours, maybe days! :sad2: Does it ever happen sooner??

So does she settle down or they wiggle and dance all the time? She's got to be tired! She is a true percula (was suppose to be pair but the male dies in shipment).

I tried mysis, no interest, but maybe it's too soon. GSMguy, I will try frozen cyclopeeze, I have some of that. What is
rods food ?

Thanks to you both for your time and attention!

Clownfish are fickle when choosing anemones, My Percula clowns host a couple BTA, a frogspawn, A plate coral, And a clam. :) no matter how long it takes don't worry it will happen.
