Clownfish, something or nothing?

I just got a very large pair of clownfish from a fellow reefer. I put them in my qt tank and am dosing copper. They both are eating and seem healthy, but the bigger one is riddled with black spots. I wasn't sure if this was sting spots or black ich? I am treating with copper either way, but certainly don't want to misdiagnose this.

hey, I'm not an expert but if it is black ich, i dont think the copper will treat it. if i'm not wrong black ich is a type of worm that attaches itself to the fish. I believe the treatment would be prazipro or maybe formalin.

But if it is black ich (which are Paravortex member turbellarian flatworms), prazi would be the treatment of choice.

Its in qt right now with copper. I got it at a fragswap so don't know what it was with. Can copper and hypo be done together?

I would suggest using Prazipro as well. Its a lot safer then formalin and fish tolerate it much better. I personally used formalin once about 7 years ago and lost both fish i was treating. I have had no issues using prazipro. I would suggest using 2-3 rounds to fully eradicate the eggs. you just add it to the tank and leave it for 3-5 days and then repeat.
I dont know what kind of copper you are using but i have read a lot of people using cupramine and prazipro together with no ill effect.

I'm going to get Prazipro Thursday. Is it something I can just add to the tank, or do I have to dip the fish?
