have three 10day old clownfish fry that I have left, I ran out of food for them in the early days so lots died but now I have a lot of rotifers for the next batch of babies witch should hatch around 3-4days.
Now can I hatch out the next batch in the same tank with the 3 from the first batch or should I just buy another setup for the new ones?
How many batches can I put in the same tank for growing out?
I do have some extra tanks dry and open two 10g, one 20g long (drilled) one 20g tall, two 55g tank and a 155g bow with a 75g sump. But no stands for any of them so I’d have to make something fast.
The 155g bow is sitting at a friend’s house waiting for me to make room for it, I live in a mobile home and I don’t think I could set it up here with a 120g tank, 40g sump and 20g refugium plus a king size water bed, I’m just scared of coming home from work and seeing this place is laying on its side.:hmm3:
I was thinking of using the 20g long that is drilled bare bottom with the 10g for a sump, putting a mesh screen on the drain. Jamming the 10g sump with live rock, heater, and an old SeaClone Protein Skimmer with a maxi jet 1200 for a return pump and calling it a grow out tank.
With biweekly water changes from my 120g reef tank I think it could work with a batch or two.
What would you do if you had my living space and a small wallet?
Terry
