Clownfish stealing food from my Anenome

I have also read that they need smaller pieces of food...

Probably best to also put some screens under the lighting for a while until it colors up. You can put several layers of screening, then remove them one at a time as you see results (color coming back to the nem.)

If those clowns keep attacking it, you'll have to remove them or it. That nem can't take the stress right now...

Thanks for the website. Interesting. I had a different nem and it would suck big pieces down just fine. Oh well. I will do what it says and see what it does for me. They only thing I don't understand is when you talk about the lighting. I was under the impression that the nem would find it's location for flow and lighting on it's own? It has been moving in the tank but has found it's way to the right side back corner of the tank now for about a week. I'm guessing that it might be happier in this spot so I'm not sure if I would want to adjust the lighting for it or not. I will start with the food and see where that takes me.

Well, when people have bleached coral and nems they find that lower lighting and feeding help. Probably it went to the back of your tank so that it isn't in as much light... It's up to you, and you might wait for others to chime in. If it were me, I'd screen the lighting, but keep it on the same schedule.

Try several types of food. I'd pick up some shrimp & scallops at your local fish market and chop them tiny, no more than 1cm in size, and try them. If it doesn't take them, then try something else.

That's a good point that I forgot about -varied diet can sometimes entice them to eat. Try a bunch of different things and see what sticks (no pun intended)

LOL...

I will grab some mysis cubes and see how it does with that.

Thanks for all the help!

Well I didn't grab any mysis but I went ahead and used my home made food. I used a turkey baster to give it a little better chance of grabbing some more food. It looks like this is going to be the ticket. I was just hoping I wasn't going to have to spot feed it. The clowns still jump into the nem but at least the tentacles have food all over them to bring to it's mouth.
