NEWBIE here :)

i have a pair of true peacula..they always stay in frogspawn...RARELy to go out of frogspawn.

out of blue, they both swimming in open for a while....why do they that?

I dont know if its normal for tank...just that i RARELY see them do that..

thanks

I don't have percs but my maroons have slowly claimed the entire tank over the course of about 2 years. They stuck to about a 1' by 1' area for a long time but eventually spread out.

My tank is 45 gallons, btw

My false percs hang out in a corner 90% of the time. At feeding time they'll move forward to the feeding spot, but go right back to their corner as soon as they can. Not very adventurous. They won't even go into my frogspawn or any of my three bubbletip anemones.

Rarely, they will wander out. But they seem to prefer to wander when the tank is more calm. Such as when I have the powerheads off (overflow/return is still running). Maybe they don't like the flow? I'm not sure. I'd say I have medium flow through my tank for the corals and to help keep detritus from settling too much.

yeah interested..

My 2 clowns wandering around the tank for like 20 mins then back to "home".

Mines 29g

I have set TMN mode MP10es at 60-70% speed

IMO, wandering is a good sign and sign of them being comfortabale enough to move away from the protected host (corner, powerhead, frogspawn, nem, etc.).
