Clownfish symptoms

Sorry to heat all this. were these tank bred fish? If there were a lot of juvis in the tank, they almost certainly were. There is a popular myth about tank bred fish being immune to brooklynella, your experience shows this isn't true. They are just less likely to carry it than wild fish. Once they leave the breeder, there are many ways they can become infected.

Thanks for the info... I'm hoping that my LFS IS an exception to the rule. They refrained from selling me a clownfish last week that they thought wasn't doing well.

Do you know if Brooklynella affects inverts? If so what should I do, I haven't seen much info about brook and inverts.

I do have pictures of the fish in the bag, and you can clearly see the retracted fins. A picture just after being put into the tank shows the white mucus-like hangnails.

I have gotten mixed signals on articles as to whether or not retracted fins is a symptom, although no article says it can't be, they just don't mention it.

No fish parasite/fish disease (including Brook) can infect a coral or invert. However, being that Brook is a parasite (like Ich) it can remain active in your aquarium long after the last fish has died from it. The general rule for Ich is this and I can only assume it also holds true for Brook:

You aquarium must remain completely fallow (fishless) for 8-9 weeks to completely eradicate (starve out) the parasite.
