Clownfish tanks seen at Macna

There were tons of display tanks with many different types of clowns at macna this year. My wife fell in love with the idea of having a tank dedicated to the clowns. I have a 90 gallon cube that I can devote to this but all my clownfish knowledge says that as the tank matures I will end up with a dominant pair. Is this true? Or can I put 2 of each strain in without much of an issue?

Thanks, James

IMO if you wanna have a clownfish tank, your best option is to get a breeder to sell your some from the same batch. this way they will all be the same age . but even then their will prob. be bickering and such. my oldest batch of clowns are around a month old and I will agree it is really neat watching them all sleep in a ball and swim together when the lights go on.

if you try to add 2 from each strain the strain that is the most aggressive will end up killing the others once paired off.

Stick with a pair unless you have a really large tank. There are always exceptions, but this is a good rule of thumb.
