Clownfish vanished

Hi all I recently added 3 new additions to my 100gal tank a pink spot goby a royal gamma and a maroon clown fish. They spent 4 weeks in quarantine where they were treated with prazipro and culpramine they all appeared healthy so I moved them to the display tank on Friday now the clown fish has vanished and I can't find him in the tank. He was feeding and swimming around normally yesterday. Tank parameters are

Am 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Fe 0
Salinity 1.025
Mag 1170

I would like find out what has happened as i am worried about him. For people who keep clowns do they hide for extended periods as part of normal behaviour or does this mean the worst?

Thanks

Did you use any live rock in the tank? If so, you might have an unwanted hitchhiker lurking among the shadows. It could have just found a really good hiding spot too though. If you haven't already, try throwing some food in the tank and see what happens. GL.

2 bangai cardinals 1 fire fish 1 sailfin tang plus the gamma and goby he was quarantined with but I can't think we're he could possibly be

Tried feeding today but he didn't appear that's when the alarm bells started ringing. Yes I have live rock in my tank already dealt with a mantis shrimp and more crabs than I can remember all other fish have been unharmed for 6 months or more though

Just had another look on floor and tried to see to the bottom of overflow box there is no sign of him still don't understand how he can just vanish like this

Yep tried everywhere I can think of can't find him anywhere still hoping he'll be swimming round in the morning like nothing ever happened

One of my clowns has swam into the overflow box twice but both times I found him at the surface trying to get back in. Good luck!

Assuming your back isn't painted, I've used the camera on my phone. I start a video recording, reach behind the tank, and slowly pan around the whole overflow. Then review the video in slow replay. Found my missing starfish that way.

I added two Picasso clowns Saturday evening. Only saw one Sunday morning, looked everywhere. He eventually came out at feeding time. He was in a tunnel the goby made.

Once you have eliminated all the obvious things (overflow, carpet, etc.) it's quite possible it died and got CUC'd. Amazing how quickly a fish body disappears. 100 is too small for a sailfin of even moderate size. They can get very aggressive when cramped so its also possible he killed the clown.

A clown vanishing means there is something that killed it. When I added my clown it immediately ate and hosted a powerhead :D

If its gone for a while it could be its dead but who knows. My friend's clown hid in a cave because in that cave a hitchhiker anemone manage to survive and decided to stay down there for awhile

If it's not on the floor my guess is it has to be in your system hiding or trapped. Maybe just use moon lights and feed the tank some Brine Shrimp. Use a flashlight to spot check. My first thought is it jumped out at bedtime.

About 6cm maybe still no sign so assuming I have a fatality on my hands. I have two mp40 that I don't quite have at full power because they make a squeaking noise which is really irritating. Would like to try and work out what happens checked all round the tank but no sign used my phone to see the bottom of the overflow box as well back of the tank is painted so it is hard to see around the back. I have never seen any signs of aggression from the tang towards any of the other fish although I don't know what is going on after lights out so it's possible. Bit bummed about my clown thought I was doing everything right if it died in the tank surely there would be some evidence I don't have any crabs in my cuc anymore as I got fed up with them murdering each other and my snails all the time and sumped them so they couldn't have eaten it
