Clownfish with Cloudy Eye

I have a clownfish that has one eye that has turned cloudy and is enlarged. The clownfish is not eating. It is in a 50 gal reef tank that has been set up for 2 years. Is it going to be necessary to remove the clownfish for medicated baths or will that stress it out more? Thanks.

looks like popeye..
they have treatments like "primafix" or the other one (cant remember the name) at petco that i tried in curing my queen angel but no success..
good luck. its from stress i believe..
and freshwater dipping/copper wont make it any better.

Popeye is usually caused by an injury that allows a bacterial infection to occur. Remove to a quarantine tank and treat with Furan2 or Maracyn2.

If he was eating, i would suggest putting him into a breeder box inside his existing DT and feed him medicated food.
But since he's not eating, then it's best to move him into a QT and start dosing minocycline (maracyn 2).

Thanks everyone. I am going to try moving the clownfish to a separate tank today so I can medicate the water.
