Clownfish with internal parasite

I have a new pair of clownfish, true percs, in QT now for 10 days. Had a brief ammonia spike early on. Fish did well until a few days ago, the female stopped eating and now has stringy, white feces. I suspect an internal parasite.

Treatment options?
Metronidazole--- Usually has to be given with food, and the fish won't eat. I'm also worried about antibiotics knocking out my biological filter.
Garlic?
Time?

Thanks.

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago with the arrival of my new Occs pair in my 20 Gls QT tank. I used a 20ml ALBENDAZOLE (100mg/5ml) suspension administred in 3 givings of aprox 6-7ml/ea every 2 days. It clouds the tank water a little, but it will clear up again after some hours. It has not knocked down the biofilter as the readings of parameters are consistent. The advantage of this product is that it covers a broader spectrum of parasitosis, dissolves better in water despite initial cloudiness, and more important it gets rid of the parasitic eggs also.

Then I rubbed a clove of garlic on a fine meshed metallic sieve, to get the fresh juices and the fine minced in the tank.

And finally supplied some vitamin B complex into the tank (the powder contents of a capsule).

The pair has seemingly recovered, they are eating like pigs, poop regulary and are gaining weight again.

coppersafe or formalin, pick your poison. If your gonna use formalin please research its use on the disease forum. otherwise you could lose your clowns fast
