Hey all!

I have 2 ocellaris clowns, 1 sabae anemone and 1 rose anemone. I can not get the to host for the life of me. Any suggestions?

some just will not host. if they are tank raised then the chances to get them to host will be hard. if you get a wild one that is hosting at the store then put it in with only one of your clowns you might get the other to host as they like to be in a pair. just my opinion. i have had my pair for a while. i too have a seabae and a carpet and they love the carpet to death. i have another clown in my 210 that wont host anything but a leather toadstoll i have in there.

It took about a year and a half for my CB Ocellaris to begin living in a LTA. I believe yours will begin living in one of the anemones eventually. It may take a looooong time though.

Your fish would probably begin living in an anemone sooner, if they had their natural host species. Unfortunately Ocellaris only have 3 known natural hosts. One of them is almost never imported, and the other two are probably the most difficult species to care for.
