Clowns and damsels

I purchased a perc clown about a week ago. Just today I released him into my big tank. None of my other fish even notice or seem to care he is in there, except for my damsel that is. Both the clown and the damsel are about the same size, but the damsel seems to be chasing him around all the time.

Will this cat and mouse activity eventually cease or should I get rid of the damsel?

ditch the damsel. They are closely related and really aren't good tankmates.

yea that damsel will be a pain in the rear! Not to mention, near impossible to catch. Good Luck.

I have a South Seas damsel (Chrysiptera taupou) and Talbot's damsel (Chrysiptera talboti) in my 65g. I had my ocellaris in another tank for a while, then moved her into the 65g with the well-established damsels. Neither they or any of the other fish even batted an eyelash. They seem to share their space very peacefully, but the clown is the largest by a small margin, so maybe that's the key?
