clowns and damsels

do you think a set of clowns would do ok with my yellow tail damsel in my 29gal.

It may work, depending upon the temperament of your damsel (usually fairly territorial). It may help to turn off the lights for the day after introduction and rearrange the rockwork a bit. Be prepared to get the clowns out if there is an issue.

How long has the damsel been in the tank? If it has been a long time you may have a problem. If for a short time it may work.

Maroon clowns seem like the toughest they would probably be ok.

Those yellow tails are pretty aggressive. It's been mentioned and I agree that you can re-arrange the rocks a little bit. Definitely introduce the newbies when the lights are off.

i had 2 three stripe and 2 blue devils and the only fish they got along with was my clowns you should be ok

i introduced a damsel into my tank with 2 clowns and a coral beauty....the damsel left the clowns alone, but took big chunks out of my angel's tail...needless to say, i took the damsel back after a few days, he was too aggressive for my tank
