clowns are trashing each other

My two clowns, about the same size, just started fighting about an hour ago. The small (just by a little) of the two has a pretty good bite mark just above his/her pectorial fin anda chunck missing on dorsal fin. There is a BTA in the tank, which the other one has hosted in, but it runs clear across the 55 to take a bite at the other.

They have been together for about 2 months with no issues

Should I put the injured on in my refugium until it heals , or do they need to finish the fight?

remove the smaller one.it might kill it.u may have two females.

when i redid my rock wok my female beat up the male for almost a month before I moved another pice of Lr. then they settled down.

i had the same problem, the smaller one was male so every thing worked out for me.
I sure you have 2 famales, the fight sound so fierce. Remove the smaller one or he will almost defently die.
P.S what´s your tank size and which type of clown do you have?

They do, unless they're already female. They never go back to male.

Did you move your rockwork, add fish or coral, or do anything differently to the tank just recently?
