Clowns beating up BTA...

Here it is today... It's a baby BTA... :)

No change from last nights feast, I may try and spot feed cyclopeze tonight.

So it's been a few days, I figure I'd give an update.

The anemone left to deal with things on it own, moved behind the rock work and headed up. It's now just a few inches away from the "baby" anemone now. It's still not in full light but it's moving fast.

Well it maybe early to tell for sure but I think its a case of a mislabeled thread...

I believe I have witnessed an amazing event in my tank.

The spawn had found more favorable conditions, almost as if it was part of the plan the spawned clone was released to find the best living zone in the tank. Once established the "baby" anemone began signaling it location. The shrinking to me now seems like some type of travel mode for the anemone.

In the duration to this point, it began locating the baby anemone. You can see here now the two are together, the anemone is again large the clowns are hosting it seemingly without harming it.

Update? How is the "baby BTA"?

Actually doing well, turned out it was my lighting that really sucked! The RBTA that was thought to be stressed was actually heading for light. Seemed to shrink way down before it's long travel to the top of the tank. Borrowed a PAR meter and learned a hard lesson about buying cheap and buying twice... Old light 250 - 300 at water surface! It was a 250w MH that sat 6" from the water. Now a got top of the line MH equipment, getting 1500+ at the water surface! Only on day 3 with the new light. I have three or four "babies" or clones that have come from this one RBTA. One still stays right next to the "mother" others are in "travel mode" since the new light, I am sure they will pop up once they find a spot in the tank.

They are about the size of a quarter, I will take a picture as soon as I have a moment.

I had to move my nem out before my maroon clown killed it .It was a little smaller than the seller described.Luckily I have a well established reef to put him in until he grows big enough to handle the clown.
