Clowns can't let go?

Well i have 2 f. perc clowns, had em for about a year, a few days to a week ago, my torch coral died. They have been hosting in that torch coral for about 6 months. I noticed they were still rubbing the skeleton so i took it out in case it scratched them (i dunno how strong their scales are, but i took it out anyway). Well now they are still in that torch coral area, as if they were looking for it, and are now "hosting" the green hair algae where the torch used to be. Is this normal behavior?

Torched died when water's heat spiked to about 90 degrees.

id say its normal they have that area staked out as there home. get them something new to host in and put it in that same spot and im sure they will take to it soon. at least from my recent experience thats the case. had a frogspawn that my clowns hosted in die and next thing i added to that spot they took to it within a week. course it was an anenome this time but it worked for me

I know that my clown stayed where its anemone was for a month. The time b/t selling the anemone, and then the clown. At the time I sold the clown it had shown no sign of moving away from that spot.
