clowns changing

Have a question. My clowns which when i purchased i thought were ocellaris clowns are starting to darken up. Just wondering if anybody else has had this happen.

i think that means they are true percs, not ocellaris.

thats what i was thinking but a friend of mine also suggested they might be onyx clowns but i think i just got a pretty good deal from my lfs.

I bought a young pair of ocellaris for $30 and ended up with onyx percs!

even if theyre not onyx pers ill be happy with true percs i love local fish stores up here they under price so much stuff sometimes. Unfortunately they dont take very good care of theyre tanks.

Those are true percs, but are darkening nicely....An onyx is a true percula.

An onyx perc is different. They have more black on them then regular percs do and they are harder to find.

Those are A. Percula. A lot of lfs don't labeled their clowns correctly. I've seen b&w occelaris as onyx clowns. Mis-bared Occelaris as picasso clown, etc...
