OK, so my hermits keep going missing, is it possible my clown's are eating them? Had a few snails disappear too, shell is there no snail.

Something else is happening to the hermits and snails. Do you ever hear any cracking or popping sounds coming from the tank? What other livestock do you have?

The 2 clowns, the anemone, some zoo's, green star polyps and a welso brain. I have not heard any cracks or pops. Oh also have a queen conch.

Your hermits may be doing in your snails, but I don't know what's happening to the hermits. That anemone isn't doing it though. What kind of clowns do you have, and how big are they?

i don't know alot of info on queen conch. but that seems like a more likely suspect

Queen conch is basically a big snail. Unlikely that is it.

Queen conch eat algae; however, many times people sell whelks as queen conch and many of those eat other snails. I've seen more than a few threads where people have caught their supposed "queen conch" eating their other snails and it was really a whelk. http://www.reefland.com/articles/rho/identify-this-conchs-and-whelks

Not that I have seen, because are those usually a one inch or so shrimp?

Nope. Some get very large, and are stomatopods, not shrimp.

It is definitely a conch based on the above descriptions, and it loves algae wafers. Now for for the mantis what would I be looking for I will go scour the tank and see if I can find any if I know what I am looking for.

For a mantis, you'd more be listening for any clicking or something that sounds like a marble dropping on glass.

Do any of the snail/hermit shells have a jelly like substance on them when you find them empty?

Not that I have noticed. Seems like the population of them has become stable, maybe I just got a few weak ones, or whatever was eating them died off (Probably more likely).
