Clowns Hosting in Clam???

I have a pair of clowns hosting in my clam, I have had my clam for 4 years and it has probably doubled in size. The clowns have laid eggs on the shell and dont let my clam open fully. Is there a way to get them not to host in the clam? I have already tried moving the clam.

My clown has hosted in my large derasa for many years as well. I put a RBTA in the tank and he hosted the nem for about a week or two, then moved back to the clam. Before I had the clam, he killed a trachy by hosting in it.

Not sure what you could do, were they fine before the eggs? maybe get rid of the eggs?

1 clown doesn't seem to bother it too much, he will occasionally irritate the clam, but 2? I dont know. I have often thought about getting a second to make a pair, and always decided against it because I am afraid 2 clowns may be a bit much for the clam.

If the clam was doing fine with 2 before the eggs, then I would certainly scrape the eggs before they end up stressing and killing your clam.
