Clowns in a 300gallon tank

Hi guys. I need your help and suggestions. Can I put 15 juvenile clowns in a 300gallon tank without an anemone? Im affraid that the will kill each other when they mature. I'm planning to get some miss bar clowns, false percula, true percula, and black clowns in my 300. I really need some input on this. Thanks.

for a true honest opinion I would go with ethier all from the same spawn or at least black and regular percs. Blacks are usually calm and are a normal spawning partner for true percs

thanks man..I never own a ocellaris clown.This will be my first time. Im getting it in a local breeder here in Sacramento.

Im just hoping they wont kill each other when they are big already. I dont plan to put an anemone though.

See this thread. I would not put different species of clowns in the same tank but babies in the same species seem to do OK
I don't think anemone or not make a huge different. Personally, I don't like that many clowns in a tank.

Thanks for the advice. As much as want to have an anemone in my spa tank. I can't. Too risky for my sps.

I wouldn't try that many, especially since you plan to mix species so they won't even be from the same spawn. You will end up losing quite a lot of them over time.

Hi Michelle, thanks for the advice, im planning to put the same species actually just the misbar ocellaris, ocellaris, and B&W ocellaris.. Im not sure for the black ocellaris because I saw them 2wks ago in a LFS. Im just hoping they ordered some more this week. Im getting 15ocellaris and 15 misbar ocellaris from a local breeder this sunday. I just spoke with him this afternoon. We'll see what happens. these clown are 3/4 to 1inch in size.

Your original post mentioned ocellaris and perculas, which is why I mentioned problems mixing species.

Yes I did i apologize. i got 20 ocellaris and 10 miss bar ocellaris. so far they are adjusting to the turbullance in my tank. Its an sps tank so the flow is a little strong. I actually found 4 of them in my filter socks and they were still fine. Im going to watch them carefully but so far they are eating pretty good. I should post some pics maybe tomorrow.
