Clowns in a new tank

I am building a 325g tank. Eventually, I'd like to have soft, lps, and sps corals. But I am going to start with softies first. I want to make this tank peaceful of its inhabitants.

My nobbish questions:

- Can I have more than one pair of Clowns? I'd like to have two pairs.

- When should I add them to the tank? I mean as first fishes or after I introduce the less aggressive ones?

- I'd like to have couple of anemones for them. Will the corals and other fish be safe? Should I introduce the anemones before or after the Clowns?

Thanks,

Possible, but not advised.

It depends on what the other fish will be and what type of clowns, but I would stock all the coral before fish.

Usually. Some anemones move quite a bit, some stay put. Do your research on compatibility and requirements.

Sounds like a cool tank. Best of luck.

In a 325. it is easy to have two pairs of clowns if you want to keep the more docile pairs. It is unlikely that you and can keep Clarkii, Tomato, or maroon pairs with another pair unless you have their natural hosts on each end of the tank.
In my 320, I have multible natural hosts of Percula and Ocellaris. I have a black snowflake pair and a Onyx/Picasso pair. They stay around their anemones and do not mingle. The should spawn soon. Both females stomach are start to bulge.

I don't have a list of the fish that will be added. That will depends on availability and prices.

I didn't know that I should stock the corals first. I thought corals need mature tank. I was planning on adding some fish first, then corals after 6 months or so.

You are exactly right. Start with fish first, as most are hardier than coral. After a month or so, you can start with coral, adding hardier species first and then work your way up to the more sensitive corals and anemones.

Are your clams still hosting clownfish? I've seen one of your videos and I found it amusing that some of your clowns were hanging out by clams when there are multiple gigs, a mag and some haddonis right next to them. Lol

Yes and having multiple anemones throughout the tank will help. That way each clown pair will have a chance to establish its territory.
