Kat's coming over and learning about breeding clownfish must have gotten mine in the mood. They laid eggs this morning!
My display had an outbreak of ich in the end of june. I decided to quarantine the only to fish in there and treat with hyposalinity. My two ocellaris clowns went into hypo for 6 weeks. I've been raising it slowly for the past week or so. The tank hasn't really been taken care of and is definitely not in optimal breeding condition. I haven't done a water change in 6 weeks, and don't really test the water much. I frequently forget to turn the overhead lights off at night, so the lights will stay on for 36 hours. I've been feeding mostly pellet food (formula 1) for the past 6 weeks.
Boy was I surprised to see eggs this morning. It's not a huge clutch, but it's pretty good. The specific gravity of their tank is still only 1.020. Don't worry about the algae, the clowns don't seem to mind either.
