clowns spawning

If/when clowns spawn, does there seem to be a particular time? My clowns seem awfully frisky today.

Me to! maybe it's in the air! jk lol mine used to get a litlle frisky before a spawn look around and see if you spot any eggs usually close to the nem if you have one and on some rock. The male used to hide with the eggs on mine once they were laid on some rock and would basically disappear for a few days. The female was a terror durring those days.

Kender, What kind of clowns do you have? My clowns pay no attention to my RTBA. They host my frogspawn.... I glad your clowns like their new home. Has he colored up any more? Has he found a spot or is he on the move?

They are ocelaris clowns. He has started to regain his color showing some red on a few tentacles and has found a nice little home right in the middle of the tank.

Epic I had a feeling since ur name is extreme clownfish lol/ that would be a dream of mine - do you have to get them in a smaller tank? If so do they need anything besides sand - I have eggs on the bottom of my filter box but don't know next step or if it is to late- they would be in a hard stop to get to

just shut everything off the night theyre going to hatch and collect the fry. hold a flashlight at the top and theyll all swim to the top so you can scoop them out.

How do you know they are goon to hatch? How long does it take once the eggs are laid-

i think mine were hatching on the 7th or 8th day if i remember right. havent done it for a while. you can tell by looking at the eggs with a magnifying glass. they will be silver and ALL of the yellow (yolk sac) will be gone. if there is still yellow they arent going to hatch that night in my experience.

my black lay every 2 weeks or so, the last batch hatched a few days ago.
I havent tried to raise them.

Come on Paul, quit being lazy!!! With all those tanks you have you could raise a few...ha Just what you need.......another job!!! ha
