Clowns with peacock

I have a large peacock 5in and he has been in with a green chromis for about 2 months no problems, so do you think it is safe to add a pair of naked clowns and small nem?

The clowns should be okay if the peacock hasn't ate the damsel.

It really depends on the mantis' personality. I've had a clown in with mine for about 8 months now and it's been fine. My only suggestion would be to maybe distract him with food when you put them in to take the focus off what you're doing.

i wouldnt recomend it, but you may be able to do it if he doesnt attack the damsel. i find it easier to add the fish before you add the mantis and i have better luck with that.

it also depends on the mantis and its personality.

I got a few different types of damsels and dartfish in my peacock tank. One of them had been in the tank for about 4 months now but just yesterday he got too comfy and swam into my peacock's burrow(he's done this a few times) and the next thing I see when I turn on the light is Lefty the Peacock munching on him.

As long as the mantis is well fed, he won't chase the fish but it doesn't mean he'll not pass up a free meal...heh

I've had a G. Tern in a tank with a variety of fish (damsels, dottybacks, etc.) She never bothered anything until yesterday when I was changing tanks. I had everything temporarily in a 38 gallon when I heard a strike. I didn't know what it was until I finished moving everything over and found a chromis with a chunk taken out of its back. I felt like a proud papa.

the only way to find out is to try it. just like everyone else said its hit and miss. I had sucess keeping a 5 inch peacock with a maroon clown and bta for over 6 months. but then again I also used to hand feed my mantis.(which i know was really dumb)

I think I will give it a shot, I am going to try to add a picasso pair to my 210 which also has a GSM pair and if it doesnt work move the gsm pair to the mantis tank. Thank you al for your responses
