Club dues and "Early Bird Raffle"

Everone, This is a reminder to all that we really need everyone to step up and pay there dues "prior to the frag swap".

We have an early bird raffle prize of a complete 10 gallon nano set up that will be raffled off at the frag swap. It will be a 10 gallon version of the treasure chest tank below! Finished in your choice of Naureal wood as shown, Black or white.

The raffle will be for anyone that pays there membership dues prior to August 31st.

It will be drawn from the members that are paid as of the August 31st date and we will make the drawing at the frag swap September 19th

We are a Non-profit organization and really rely o the club dues to put on this frag swap.

I just paid my dues for a student membership via paypal, but I was just wondering about the raffle thing..
Do we actually have to be present for the meeting/ raffle..?
I don't have a car and getting a ride to and from the agricenter might be a problem for me..

The early bird raffle does not require that you be present to win.

The other raffles at the frag swap will require that you be present.
If you need a ride to the meeting, or the frag swap, let everyone know on line here and I bet you can get a ride from someone!!

Given our Charter, I would suggest that IF someone WAS in Good standing (i.e. - has paid their Early Bird Dues) and actually won this Raffle and WASN'T there (hello, I'll be out of town and in case people like dsiu25 might not get there), that we Donate it to a School or class somewhere to further the Hobby...

The early Bird Raffle is a "Stand Alone" Raffle prize donated by "ME" and is not associated as a door prize or anything to do with the frag swap.

It is a raffle of the individuals that have paid there dues prior to 11:59 P.M. on August 31st. for the 2009-2010 year. This will be drawn at the frag swap, but will be awarded to the person whose name is randomly drawn, and if the winner is not present I will contact them and hold for that persons disposition.

That means I will hold it for you Marty if you win, or anyone else that has paid there dues by the August 31.

Awesome! I'm not going to lie, this raffle was definitely an incentive for me to become a paying member of club... I would LOVE to attend the meetings and stuff but being a student stuck on the small rhodes campus without a car, makes it difficult for me to get there without being a burden on someone else driving me.

I used to be a fairly active member with my old reef club in Boston ( Boston reefers Society), But these forums don't seem to be as active.
but because I was kind of addicted to reading ALL the posts on my old forum, I still lurk around on these forums atleast twice a day..

Do you know if there are any other active student members in college?
