Club shirts

Just to updated everyone, we will be moving forward with the club shirts. Here's what we came up with so far. I created a thread to be on top of this since this can easily be neglected and never completed.

Brain storm from the group:

* Shirt coloration gray or light brown/tan

* 2 no more than 3 colors used for the design

* Simplistic design (looking into 3 simple designs from Jake and we can vote)

* Grant wanted the OLD logo we had for the club but we as a club over ruled him :lol2: Oh yeah you left the old club hat you won from the raffle also :lmao:

* Colin is also looking into designs and cost so we have another venue that could best suit the club.

* Club design WCR on right side front of the shirt
Back of shirt some sort of simple design with "Wine Country Reefers"

If anyone has any input please feel free. Especially if you have knowledge of the screen printing or clothing industry. Thanks
 
Actually Ron it would need to be burgundy lol. I'm down either a burgundy, red or gray but everyone has gray. Why not just WCR in the front then some simple design on the back? (I think that was already said on the previous page. I will try to go talk to the old babysitter we had with my ex many years ago and see if I can also get a quote.
 
JmO I say stay with the light gray or a color that won't fade after multiple washes =).. And I'll take 2..

Also I have a friend who used to make shirts I'll see what's up with him and if he still has any hookups.. Probably will be in Sf though.. I know he has a press but it's not silk screening so IMO it looks cheap..
 
Hey guys I was thinking about a design for the club its just an idea but how does for on the back we do a tank with common saltwater fish in it I.E clown fish, yellow tangs, maybe a star fish. But on the outside of it we should have grape vines wraping around the tank.
 
I was thinking similar to Kenny but make the back of the shirt look like a vineyard with fish swimming around in it maybe add glasses of wine or a wine bottles I am thinkin burgundy shirts to be different a lot of clubs use black grey and blue. And I wa always told by my grandma to wash my shirts inside out to set and hold the colors from fading and it has always worked for me
 
Thanks for the ideas BUT there is a discrepancy here. We are at the discretion of the designer and color limitation. Unless you have the time to create this image (in the format for silk screening keep in mind) and the club votes for it then by all means get creative and submit it. Right now we are aiming for simple designs. Jake stated he'd throw out 3 and we can choose from them. At the same time we have Colin looking into a design and cost of creating the shirt also. Just remember each screen is 1 color if you plan on creating a design. More screens more costly the shirt will be.
 
Just talked to my brother and he said the minimum order of 24 and would cost around $240. Plus about $20 for shipping. I'm checking with him if that includes design or what the cost of multiple would be.
 
Just saw this online t-shirt customink dot Com..maroon cotton shirt 4 color back 1 color front quick quote was around $17 each shipped.. You can design your own shirt pretty cheap.. I just quickly looked though so may be a catch but seems like a good option.. I saw a commercial a while ago on TV that got me googling. I have a friend who used to be handy at photoshop I'll see if he can make a quick design no promises on that though his nickname is frosted flake(literally) .. I can look further when I'm not getting paid by someone else =)..
 
I contacted Jake twice with no luck in a response with a date or anything. So I took upon my VERY VERY limited skill to create something that looked descent. I couldn't really find an appropriate font (unless it was very cursive or too elegant... maybe you would like that more) and thought this worked out. Again I just listened to what I think people would like. If you can create something better or improve this PLEASE do.

No fish.... as far as any other creative ideas. I'm very limited on my graphic skills. Just talked to Jake and he has been slammed with other jobs. He still wants to create the graphics for us, and has been playing around with some ideas as far as selection for the club.

Please give feedback. Or at least feasible ideas that can be accomplished since we are limited on a graphic designer. I created something very simple which in my opinion gets right to the point. So if there is anything you feel you can create please post a pic of your idea what the shirt would look like (colors no more than 3). I'll need our clubs voice to get this going till its accomplished. I know we as a whole voted on shirts, but I don't want to end just right there. That's why I'm trying to keep everyone updated by posting on this thread.

So I know this idea kind of fizzled out. But I wanted to see it through. I went to my tattoo guy earlier this past week to see if he could do some designs for me but I got a no. Plus we would have had to pay for designs. I have a few more people I am talking to about designs but waiting to here back . I decided to draw up a few myself... I am no artist but I will be posting them soon if you all like my ideas great if not no biggy I just wanna shirt

i like the idea of a WCR branded wine bottle pouring out into a puddle that recembles a look down shot of a tank or reef with some SW fish and simple color corals

They were colored pencils!.......haha wish I had crayons it may have looked better
