Club site

i got an email from Go daddy today about renewing our club domain. I plan on doing this, I only got it for 1 year last time because I wanted to see how it would work out for us.

Also, our club site is now done through my verizon account. I would like to do that some other way so it is not on my account. This way if someone in the club wanted to help out with maintaining the site, they could with out getting into my account on verizon. I am going to look the service that go daddy offers for this. They have a site builder and free hosting. This might work for us, as well as email service I believe. This would allow different people in the club that are helping out access to email for club purposes.

Whats your input?

sounds good. I know things are slowing down right now but will pick up again in the fall. I am sure the cost is pretty small. I all for whatever we need to do within our budget of course.

I worked for a site designer and this is what he used, it is easy to use, offers a lot of space, and a lot of email accounts. I dont think they had a site builder but I am sure that shouldn't be a problem.
Also I can help with search engine optimization and submission so that people can start to find us with keywords.

Awesome Michelle. I was looking into Go Daddy mainly for the site builder. It is around $60 I think. Can't remember for sure. I don't know how to build a site on the software that is out there. that is where Verizon was nice. I could just point and click, and it was free.

Anyone out there up to building a site. If we are going to do it, it almost has to be in the summer to get it ready for the fall when we get busy again. I am going to really push the club harder this year and make sure that we have fliers at every store that will let us.

I have some site builder software and there are free templates out there all over. I am pretty sure I could customize one of them. I know that once there is something there I can run with it, I just always had a problem getting it started with the tables and stuff. I can play with the software in the next week or so and see if I remember enough and then I can do it if no one else wants to or can.
What I have is WYSIWYG so I don't really need to know much about the HTML codes.

The codes suck. I hate working with them. I would say go ahead and see what you can get started with. I will give you a call tomorrow if you guys are going to be home and we can talk about what I had in mind for the site.

Our son has a baseball scrimmage at 5:30. I don't think we have anything else after that so I am thinking by 8 we should be home with nothing much else to do. Ron is out on the road and I have to go into work and close for the boss tomorrow so he can go to his daughters college graduation.

Thats fine. I will try to give you a call later then and if nothing else leave you a message. PM me your # unless I have it on the contact list. I know I have Ron's, but I don't know about yours.

You guys sound like you have it all under control. Just let me know if you need anything or if i can be of any help what so ever.

We will see what we can do, and come up with options that are available to us. We will then decide and post our thoughts to get feed back. I want this to be something easy for just about anyone to work with, or at least that is my goal. I want this club to get twice as big next year.
