Ladies and Gentlemen,

Why are you defending yourselves with this post. Most of you seem like very nice people even Mel . Look at what has been stated in the initial post. This person is talking about something that happened in November it is now January. Don't you think if this person was really that upset would he or she have posted before now. Maybe in November or December not two months after the fact. Maybe this post has something to do with the up coming frag swap or something. Notice that most if not all of this person has is one or two liners and I don't recall a single post that helped with a problem. He has been a member of RC since December of 2005 only has 28 posts but has 10 years experience. Could this be a setup or something ?

it was not just you i also tryed to trade some green cap to some i had to pull out of a deal for a tank
fishdoc11 6 month is not given it a chance i did initiate conversations about my tank and most said something about bulbles in it and i also know all of you are not at fault and im at fault to but if i came to your home you would make feel right at home if you would do that in your home why not at lfs and for some of you to call me ignorant is something i do not understand how can i be ignorant if you think that then you are the one that needs to look at how you view of people i was not pointing out noone if i offended that is good because you know im right and for the people that read this dont let this post stop you from joining the clue im just one person and i hope you all have better luck than i did i know most the people in the club are good people and my name is keith

Called you ignorant? I must have missed that. I'll tell you what I did see though, as maybe you are somewhat short sighted, and missed it.

You came here, into this group's forum, and slammed them. You accused them of being a bunch of snobs, and told them that "their club is a joke" Rather than respond in kind, these people exhibited true southern hospitality. They opened their arms and welcomed you anyway. Your response to that is quoted above.

Just another FWIW the meetings at the Critter are probably the worst ones to get to know people. Several people are usually buisy with fragging(I am glad Gary has that job now ) and all the others are usually seeing what they can get with their 25% discount:lol:

Seriously there are so many people at the Critter meeting because of the free frags that they are far from intimate. My favorite meetings are typically those with 10 or so people at indiduals houses. Those are also the best ones to attend if you want to get to know people.

I am posting in this thread not only as a response to outreefed's statements but mainly for others that might read this thread to make them aware that MTRC is one of the best clubs out there with some of the best people. Like anything in life it is what you make of it. I remember when we started the club several years ago. I didn't have anyone to talk to about reefing but people at the LFS's that didn't really understand some of the concepts in reefing I was exporing and my wonderfull ( not being sarcastic here )wife who's view towards the reef tanks is typically tolerant at best. I also didn't have anyone to trade frags with etc......
In short being involved with MTRC and the other clubs close to Nashville and now the ETRC in Knoxville have been a great way way for me to explore reefing and truly enjoy it with others that "understand"....ie. "Reef Geeks".
