Can anyone tell me why this is happening to my corals.. They shrivel up and turn purple in the middle of the day!

Water Parameters are:

Salinity: 1.026
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5.0 "“ 10 --- I can't tell the difference
Calcium : 520
dKH: 11 or 196.9 ppm H

Those are soft corals, not SPS (the second one appears to be a Kenya tree maybe?)

Could be a variety of reasons - too much light...or the high calcium/alkalinity (higher than I like to keep anyway.)

Need more info like flow, lighting, stock list, how long the tank has been set up, etc.

what kind of light do you have?

can you take some pictures of your entire tank and sump?

trying to get a better picture of the coral, is it hard or soft to the touch?

Lighting:

2 T5's - 1 6,700 K and 1 Blue Actinic 54W each
1 T12 - Super White Actinic 54W

Flow:

ow sure how you measure it, but I have two power-heads in there. Both pointed at the glass, nothing directed at the rocks or corals..

Filter:

I have a Rena XP3

Skimmer:

Aqua C Remora Hang-On Protein Skimmer - only run this from 12am at night until 7:30 am then form 9:30 am until 5pm.

2 Blue damsels
Blue Tang

Both my Mandarin and Diamond eat brine shrimp and bloodworm's.

Red Sea Star
Cleaner Shrimp

I also have a bunch of snails, and blue led crabs.

I have attached a picture from about a week ago when everything was fine....

The tank was setup for a little more than a year, with no corals in it.... I then moved and after the water chemistry improved I started using putting in corals.
