Coding with out Internet?

rogergolf66

im an addict lol
Ok I switched Internet company's to Verizon and last week I lost connection to the apex from my local network. I am not good at that stuff and working to much to fix that yet, but can I change/ add code another way? Can I connect a laptop to the apex and connect to it some way even if not connected to the Internet? If so please explain how.

Thanks
Roger

There's complete instructions in the Reference Manual on how to directly connect a PC to the controller. It's not hard.

There's also a network troubleshooting page that might help solve your main problem of no network access.

A direct connection to your computer has many drawbacks. You lose several important abilities - automatic time synch, email alarms, and use of the iOS or Android apps. Skip that whole idea and fix the problem the right way rather than implementing a poor workaround.

The IP address range used by the new router is probably different, so the Apex probably has an invalid address for you "new" network.

Connect the Apex to your router. Use the display menu to set the Apex to have DHCP enabled. Look up the new IP address in the menu. Use that IP address in your browser. Jot down the new IP address after you've successfully accessed the Apex from your computer.

We'll take the next steps when you have local access again.
