Collecting in Hawaii

I'm looking for a good macro to put into my fuge. Whatever I get, I need to find it myself. It's illegal to sell in the LFS's here and you can't import it. Does anyone know any good nutrient exporters that I could find in Hawaii? I know halimeda is everywhere but it doesn't help with nutrients.

While tidepooling on Maui and Lana'i, I found lots of caulerpa, codium, turbinaria, and padina. Those were the just ones I could identify. Any of those should be good nutrient exporters if you grow them. I've never been to Oahu, but I would imagine similar tidepool environments exist there with similar flora. Good luck!

You can find Caulerpa as well as all the others that Red Firefish mentioned if you look hard enough in the tidepools down past sandy's beach right before Makapu'u.
