Oh my I would be in heaven! Nubbie thick acros everywhere!
I too am curious what you collected because thoes humulis and such acros are my absolute favorites. And also what do you use to break the corals from the reef? Thoes looked like some tough thick colonies! I want more pics!
I am not sure why people think acros are all brown or colorless in nature. I have seen MANY pictures of beautiful corals in the wild. The ones of the acro tables sticking out of the reef are my favorite. It has blue purple and other great colored thick acros just sitting in the air, I gotta find thoes pics again...
I am in Okinawa Japan. It is amazing. From what I have seen since living here 90% of the corals are brown. With the exceptions of green, some dark blue tips and purple tips. But we will see if I can get them to color up in the tank. I didn't take anything off of a mother coral. But what I did take was stuff that was broken off the reef buy the last typhoon we had.
I don't know all the rules but when we attended the PADI class we were informed you can not take if you are on scuba. And like I said what I did take was broken off in the storm. All when snorkeling and in less the 3' of water.
