Collecting Wild Zoas

Where are state rules found for collecting zoas or corals or inverts for each state? anybody have any idea where this information may be found?

I would look into contacting the fish and wildlife service for that state and ask them about it. I would imagine that you'd end up searching on a state's website for an eternity, maybe a phone call would be better :)

Well see as how the only state that really has zoanthids is Florida, look up collecting corals in Florida. There are some serious punishments for doing it wrong, collecting the wrong things in the wrong amounts....Try looking up Florida DNR or wildlife game council.....

Well Hawaii has some too, and you can collect any soft corals from hawaiian waters for display in a personal aquarium for free, as long as you don't take it from a wildlife preserve. If you sell them, you need a commercial license, which is $50 I believe. If you need the reference let me know.
