Collection trip

It sure was a fun and productive trip. Any trip with flying gurnards is a success. I took my oceanography class to the same spot the next day and did just as well...and we also got 2 bigeyes and 2 lookdowns.

Tom what kind of tang was it? Did you find anything else on your beach dive?

I have photos of the blue angels. How do I post them?

Todd,

Upload the photo's to your RC photo gallery. After you've uploaded the photo, there will be a line that reads "Use this in img tag". Copy that url and put the
tags around it such as the following example that I pulled from your gallery ;)

http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/7153Yerectus.jpg

place the [img ]http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/7153Yerectus.jpg[/img ] without the extra space and you'll get...

Unfortunately, I had to miss this one. After the last time that Joe tried to drown me, I thought it would be best for my health if I stayed home :-)

hey Joe, what fish are those in the last pic?

Juvenile blue angels in NY!

Tom,

Did you get him at the bridge? Any size to him? Bill, those are from the west Jetty, but the East Jetty is a much nicer dive.

They're doing great. I've spread them all over the aquarium. Last week Chris and I hit the Fire Island inlet jetty. Chris caught another nice sized one and I caught my first reef butterfly of the year. We also saw a coney grouper (first one I've seen around here) and an unidentified tropical wrass and what I believe was a blue parrotfish (about 4 inches long). So, in spite of the late start, it turned out to be a pretty good season.
